Original brownfield site re-developed into six new build two storey houses.
Key to this was the careful engineering of the substructure given the limitations of the site geology. A piled reinforced concrete tabletop substructure enabled the superstructure to be formed economically with traditional construction techniques employed above ground. Alternative structural solutions were explored at concept design stage including modular and timber frame construction.
